Welcome to 2nd Ranskill Scout Group
2nd Ranskill Scout Group is a thriving, friendly Scout Group based in the heart of our local community, offering fun, adventure and life skills for young people aged 4–18.
We provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where children and young people can grow in confidence, build friendships and try new things — from outdoor adventures, camps and sleepovers to creative activities, teamwork and community projects.
Our Group includes Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, giving young people the opportunity to progress through the Scouting journey while developing independence, resilience and a strong sense of belonging.
Everything we do is led by a dedicated team of trained volunteers who are passionate about giving young people the very best experiences. We’re proud to be a welcoming, family-friendly group that values kindness, respect and having fun together.
Whether it’s a first night away from home, learning a new skill, or taking part in a big group adventure, 2nd Ranskill Scouts is all about helping young people believe in themselves and discover what they’re capable of.

Fundraising
Every young person deserves the chance to explore, grow and try new adventures.
We are continually fundraising to train more volunteers, qualify additional minibus drivers, and invest in adventure and water sports equipment — helping us remove barriers, reach further, and ensure no young person misses out on life-changing Scouting experiences.
Fundraisers this year
This year, 2nd Ranskill Scout Group has raised funds through a variety of community and leader-led events to support leader training, minibus driver qualifications, and the purchase of adventure and water sports equipment.
Our fundraising activities have included:
- A three-legged sponsored walk involving our Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs
- Leaders taking part in the Lincoln Half Marathon, raising sponsorship funds
- Fundraising at our Annual AGM
- Community coffee evenings, bringing supporters together
We are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported, donated or taken part. Every contribution helps us create more opportunities and adventures for our young people.
