Beavers from 14th Worksop (S Annes) have been working toward there air activities badge and have designed there very own awesome looking aircraft with LEGO as part of it.

Beavers aiming high!

Members of 12th Worksop beaver colony have received the highest award for the section, the Cheif Scouts Bronze award. This award recognizes the hard work and dedication that they have put into there time of being a Beaver Scout and the badges and awards they have gained to achieve this award. Well Done!

Network Bowling

Our Network unit, North Notts Network when out on a Bowling trip on Monday night. With varing degrees of success to start with, by the end we were all bowling like pro’s. Next month were planning on going to bounce nation.

Summer Camp in the rain…

For their summer camp this year, members of 7th Retford Scouts headed off to Beaudesert campsite in Cannock Chase. Taking part in many adventurous activities throughout the week. Via Ferrata, zip wire & abseiling to name a few. Three teams of six entered the camp problem solving competition and they came second and third overall. We also went swimming in Lichfield, visitited the Castle Ring along with some Geo-caching and a day at Alton Towers Theme Park.
Our next adventure is at Kibblestone in October where we are taking part in the Autumn Challenge Weekend.

Peak Opening Ceromany

Hood’s 40 in Tokyo

Morning All,

So the Hoods40 gang arrived safe and sound into Tokyo and headed as planned straight for the youth hostel.

They’ve had their Earthquake training already and are now enjoying some free time in Tokyo.

Early reports are that they are saying it’s very hot… Yep… 34 degrees’ll def feel hot…

Hoods40 Prepare for Adventure of a Lifetime

The Notts Scouts Jamboree unit on final countdown until they set of on the once in a lifetime adventure to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan later this week. 4 members of our district are heading out on this adventure which sees them take part in a jamboree with thousands of other scouts from around the world. Manton Celebrate in style

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers have celebrated the 10th birthday of Manton scout group in style. 50 members of the group descended on Windsor for a weekend of Lego. Stopping at a nearby scout HQ the group had an amazing time in Lego Land and around Windsor Castle.

St. Georges Day

This years st. Georges Day parade is taking place in Retford Town Center on 26th April. The parade will start from west street at 2.15pm and will parade down to the town hall, where the service will take place. The service will last for about an hour. the parade will then dismiss.
